Russia: Pilot of downed SU-25 jet posthumously awarded Hero of Russia medal

Photographs of Major Roman Filipov, the Russian pilot of the Su-25 jet that was downed recently over Syria's Idlib, emerged on Russian social media network Odnoklassniki (Classmates), Monday. The pilot, 33, died during a fight with militants on the ground after ejecting from his plane, according to the Russian Defence Ministry.
