Russia: Number of casualties reaches 12 in Moscow Region power plant fire

The number of people injured in a fire that broke out at a power station in the Moscow Region town of Mytishchi on Thursday has risen to 12. The conflagration broke out when a gas container at the facility ignited, according to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM). Reportedly, one of the power unit’s fail-safes was triggered and it stopped generating power due to the fire.
