US President Donald Trump's national security adviser John Bolton said that Russia and the United States will on Thursday announce the date and venue of an upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the US leader, at a press conference in Moscow on Wednesday. “There will be an announcement on that tomorrow, simultaneously, Moscow and Washington on the date and the time of that... Еще meeting,” Bolton said. “Both President Trump and President Putin feel that it is important for these two leaders of these two critically important countries to get together and discuss their mutual problems and areas of cooperation,” the security adviser added. Bolton emphasised that “President Trump felt and President Putin agreed that now is the time for the two of them to get together.” Regarding his recent meeting with the Russian leader held prior to the press conference, Trump’s adviser added that he and Putin did “indeed talk about the [alleged] Russian interference in the elections. I expect that it will be a subject of conversation between the two presidents as well.” John Bolton also said he was “pleased to be able to meet Mister Gianni Infantino, the FIFA president, to discuss the US, Canada, and Mexico hosting the 2026 World Cup, just to get an early jump on our preparations,” while staying in Moscow.
