Russian Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova said that there is no more danger to the life of 10-month newborn Ivan Fokin, rescued from a collapsed residential building in Magnitogorsk, as she spoke from a press briefing in Moscow, on Wednesday. Skvortsova also noted that the baby is in critical condition but is stable. On Tuesday, EMERCOM announced the 10-month-old baby had miraculously... Еще survived after being trapped for around 36 hours under the rubble. Having previously announced a halt to the rescue operation due to the risk of the building collapsing further, rescuers leapt into action again after hearing cries from the debris. At about 06:00 local time (01:00 GMT) on Monday, an entire section of a 10-storey tower block in Magnitogorsk collapsed, causing dozens to be trapped under debris in freezing conditions. According to EMERCOM, 18 people have been confirmed dead, while at least another eight have been rescued from underneath the rubble. Some 23 people remain missing.
