Russian Winter Olympians Alexander Zubkov and Elena Valbe commented on the recent barring of three more Russian athletes from the Olympics by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Moscow, Wednesday. Zubkov said that no one will return medals «until the evidence base is presented,» during an interview at the Rossiya Segodnya news agency offices. «This medal was earned by sweat and blood... Еще. And I earned it honestly, in a fair fight,» Zubkov stated, after he was stripped of two gold medals of the 2014 Sochi Olympics last week, and banned from the Olympics. The Olympian said that «it was clear from them that they [IOC] had already made a pre-planned plan for passing judgments on our athletes.» Recently, the IOC issued a lifetime ban on three Russian bobsledders — Aleksandr Kasyanov, Aleksei Pushkarev and Ilvir Khuzin, for alleged doping at the Sochi Winter Olympics.
