Aerial footage captured on Monday shows the aftermath of flooding in the town of Tulun and its surroundings in the Irkutsk region.
According to local authorities, heavy rains in the last three days caused “critical rise of the water level” in the Iya River, which runs through the town.

Flooding started in the end of June and prompted the authorities to declare a state of emergency for the whole Irkutsk region. According to Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), 11,000 homes and over 30,000 people from 109 settlements were affected by the floods.
At least 25 people were killed in the torrential downpour, while seven more people remain missing.
