Russia: Moscow does not accept «risky nuclear and missile undertakings» by N. Korea — Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held a meeting with his Japanese counterpart Kono Taro in Moscow on Friday. During the subsequent press conference, Lavrov stated that Russia will not accept any “risky nuclear or missile undertakings by North Korea,” calling any such actions a “flagrant violation of the UN Security Council resolution.” Lavrov also expressed his concern that Washington... Еще “did not seem to be happy” and “tried to do something that would irritate or provoke Pyongyang” even though North Korea “did not conduct any launches or tests within the last two months.” Russia's top diplomat also stated his dissatisfaction “about the situation in which Japan as well as South Korea are becoming territory for the deployment of elements of the US global missile defence system.” In turn, Japanese Foreign Minister Kono Taro said, “today’s meeting is the third with Minister Lavrov. We’ve had a very detailed discussion on a wide range of bilateral as well as international issues.”
