The Russian investigative committee opened a criminal case against former doping whistleblower and former director of a Moscow laboratory, Grigori Rodchenkov, and put him on the global wanted list, Russian investigative committee's spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko confirmed in Moscow, Wednesday. «The investigative committee collected evidence confirming that Grigori Rodchenkov liquidated the... Еще doping-samples of the sportsmen in breach of the WADA's International Standard for Laboratories and WADA's report on storage of such doping-samples,» said Petrenko. «Rodchenkov has been sued and put on the global wanted list. The investigative committee is determined to ask for Rodchenkov's extradition from the USA,» she added. Petrenko also refuted the allegations made by WADA independent expert Richard McLaren about Russian athletes’ doping-samples substitution at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics and existence of the so-called state-sponsored doping program.
