Russia: MiG-31 pilots demonstrate night-time mid-air refuelling

MiG-31 pilots from the Pacific Fleet took to the night skies over Kamchatka in Russia’s Far East to perform various drills on Tuesday, including mid-air refuelling. The naval aviation group performed the complex manoeuvre 7,000 metres (23,000 feet) above ground at a speed of 500kph (300mph). A total of 15 refuelling operations were carried out with an Ilyushin-78M tanker.
