Russia: «Liberal globalisation is going down the drain» — Lavrov rips into Western pop culture

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov hit out at hyper-globalisation and the spread of homogenous pop music from the West during a Q&A session at 'the Territory of Meanings' All-Russian Youth Educational Forum in the village of Dvoriki near Moscow, Friday. The Russian foreign minister used music as an analogy, likening the current model of globalisation as purchasing music «from one select... Еще club.» Lavrov added that as a result «so-called liberal globalisation is now going down the drain,» adding that attitudes in Washington towards independent nations making their own decisions were part of Western «double standards.»
