Russian Sport Minister Pavel Kolobkov held a joint press conference with his Uruguayan counterpart Uruguayan Fernando Caceres and Uruguayan Olympic Committee President Julio Maglione in Samara on Monday. As Russia is set to take on Uruguay in the World Cup to decide who will win Group A later on Monday, the officials discussed the upcoming match. “I think that today we are waiting for an... Еще interesting game. Of course, both teams will try to archive the final result, to win,” Kolobkov said. The Russian minister also commented on the statement made by US Anti-Doping Agency chief executive Travis Tygart, who said that it would be naïve to think that Russia won’t violate anti-doping rules during the World Cup. “The football issues, I think, should be left to FIFA, which recently withdrew all the questions regarding our team”, he said. “In my opinion, it is important that he [Tygart] takes up his direct activities and works on the anti-doping policy within the United States as they have quite a lot of issues themselves”, he added.
