He's just a normal guy,» said neighbour Yuri continuing, «He has been working for 30 years. He is a very good driver. I never saw him drunk at the wheel.» Another neighbour Olga shed a light on a recent tragedy that has struck Tikhonov's family. «His wife recently died. We were worried about him,» she said, adding that Tikhonov has a daughter and son. Tikhonov reportedly lost control of the vehicle as it plowed into a crowded underground passage. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, while a tow truck was brought to the scene to remove the bus from the passage. The deadly collision is being treated as an accident. There has been no official confirmation on the number of injured people or the exact cause of the crash.
