Russian President Vladimir Putin met Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein on Thursday in Sochi for bilateral talks on the sidelines of the 16th annual session of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
Putin noted the steady growth in bilateral trade between the two countries and said Jordan was “a very important partner” for Russia in the Middle East.
King Abdullah on his part said that... Еще without Russia “things would not be able to move forward” in the Middle East.
“I am here to say as always thank you for the tremendous support not only to Jordan, but the common-sense approach that you bring to our region,» the king concluded.
The 16th annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club kicked off in Sochi on September 30. This year’s event gathers together high-level officials and experts from around the globe for discussion under the theme ‘The Dawn of the East and the World Political Order.’
