Russia: ‘I wouldn’t call it provocation’ — Russian Sports Minister Kolobkov on curler’s doping incident

Russian Sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov described the doping scandal around Olympic Athlete for Russia (OAR) Alexander Krushelnitsky as «unpleasant» but refused to call it «a provocation», speaking in a press conference in Moscow on Wednesday. The minister stated that all the athletes participating in the Olympics «have undergone repeated doping tests over the past year,» adding «all the Russian... Еще [sport] federations have reached agreements with international organisations on additional testing.» Despite all these, «some sort of incident occurred.» Kolobkov went on to say that the issue «needs to be addressed.» He also expressed his hope that the situation will not affect theInternational Olympic Committee's (IOC) decision on the «returning of the Russian National [Olympic] Committee back into the [International] Olympic family.»
