Russia: 'Football more difficult than politics' — Argentine Pres Macri

President of Argentina Mauricio Macri has confirmed what many have suspected for a long time, that football is more difficult than politics, during a light-hearted interview with RT in Moscow, Tuesday. Ahead of this year’s World Cup, Macri was also keen to play up his country’s chances. «I have hopes for Messi and all the players. I think we have a strong team, but the World Cup is very... Еще competitive”, he said. Macri met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, as part of his two-visit to the country. The two leaders are hoping to forge closer ties in a number of areas, including trade, security, and defence. Macri hopes his country will become a major food supplier to Russia, in return for investment in his country’s infrastructure. In a wide-ranging interview, the 58-year old former civil engineer also gave his assessment of the current political situation in Latin America. He hoped for stronger ties with his nation’s «closest partner» Brazil, and he also chose to label Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro as a «dictator.»
