Scores of pilots boarded jet planes and vintage aircrafts in Kubinka, Thursday, in preparation for an air festival marking the 105th anniversary of the creation of Russian Air Force.
Over 150 aircrafts flew over Patriot Park, where the event will be held. Pilots performed flights on restored planes from the First and Second World War, including the Farman, Piper J-3 Cub, Yak-52, Yak-30, Yak-18... Еще, Douglas DC-3, Polikarpov Po-2, Ilyushin Il-2, MiG-3 and MIG 15.
Russian aerobatic teams Strizhi, the Russian Knights and the Berkuts also demonstrated their flying skills during the rehearsal session. The festival will take place at Patriot Park in Moscow on Saturday.
