SOT, Maria Zakharova, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson (Russian): «Hello, grandfather! How are you doing? Were you not offending our foreign correspondents?» SOT, Grandfather Frost (Russian): «In contrary, they are all my good friends, both foreign and native. You see, they have sent me a bulk of questions, they know me, they love me, they ask me. But I can't. I have to go to Peskov [Dmitri... Еще Peskov, press-secretary of the Russian President]. What questions journalists asked over there!» Father Frost made a surprise appearance at the Russian Foreign Ministry's weekly briefing in Moscow, Thursday, reading out loud «letters» he'd received from across the world. One of the letters received by the Slavic Santa Claus asked for help in finding «experts in manufacturing of fake news in Russia,» while another letter, presumably from the US Department of Justice, read «Dear Grandfather Frost! Make RT and Sputnik disappear.» In the end Father Frost asked for his «granddaughter,» Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, to continue the briefing, for he had an urgent appointment at the Kremlin.
