Russia: Eye spy! Voronezh scientists test drone controlled by user's EYE

Russian scientists tested a quadcopter which is controlled entirely by the user's eye movements, in Voronezh on Tuesday. At the heart of the technology is an augmented reality helmet that displays both an image from a drone and an image from a camera mounted at the front of the helmet, allowing the user to see ahead while controlling the drone. The technology is said to have applications in... Еще the military. According to Special Purpose Forces (Spetsnaz) personnel Andrei, «it would be very useful for special operations in the Caucasus as well as in urban settings as it allows the user to keep his weapon in his hands and always be ready for a battle. He can also survey the area, peer into windows and maintain situational awareness.»
