Russia: Drone captures ‘whale prison’ in Nakhodka Bay

Drone footage filmed on Tuesday reveals dozens of Beluga whales and Orcas being held in small temporary enclosures in the Nakhodka Bay in Primorski Krai. According to local officials, 90 Belugas and 11 Orcas are being kept in the tanks. Local activists believe that the animals are being kept in the enclosures to be sold to Asian aquariums at a later date, althought the whales can only be caught... Еще for scientific and educational purposes. Vladivostok's prosecutor office for environmental protection has started an investigation into the possible commercial exploitation of the whales.
