Putin said the fact the list included «The whole administration of the president, the whole government, the whole business» meant that «All of us, all 146 million, were put on some list.» The president said Moscow had been waiting for the list's release, stating Russia had retaliatory measures ready, but added that «We will refrain from these steps so far.» The Russian leader also commented on the doping whistle-blower Grigory Rodchenkov, calling him an «idiot» and saying he should be put in prison. «Everything is based on the statements of this person. Can we trust this man in general? Moreover we are told that he works under control of the US Special Forces and that it is good. Good for whom?» Putin asked the audience.
