Russia: Danish coach praises French team after supposed criticism

Denmark head coach Age Hareide stated the team is going to fight for victory in the upcoming match against France, speaking from Moscow on Monday. Denmark goes head to head with Les Bleus on Tuesday, knowing that a draw will be enough for them to qualify. However, Hareide was wary of complacency. «I know one point will be enough but that's not a good way to start a match. If you put that... Еще into your players' heads there will be passiveness in the team and that is not good,» he said. Hareide also commented on the high level of the competitors, after he was accused of claiming Didier Deschamps' side was «nothing special» and that Pogba «only thought about his haircut» last week. The coach stated, that the words were taken out of context, and that the French team is extremely strong. «Their defence is strong and their is midfield strong with Pogba. You know, what he delivers as a player, you can't compare with anything in Europe» he added. Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel noted that the team is pleased that qualification is still within their reach. He said: «We had hoped to be in a situation where we've already qualified but we can still decide it ourselves.»
