Russia: Cocaine ‘disinformation campaign’ funded by foreign agents, FM

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said foreign agents were orchestrating a “strong disinformation campaign” surrounding a massive cocaine bust in Argentina, while speaking at her weekly briefing in Moscow on Wednesday. She said evidence would be “passed onto Russian law enforcement agencies for analysis” as “some materials and fakes are posted on information resources funded... Еще by directly by foreign governments”. “It is a big question who is standing behind it,” pointed out Zakharova, adding that the goal was “to try and distort the facts.” “It is obvious that these speculations and informational attacks at such a level cannot be random in nature,” concluded Foreign Ministry spokesperson. Her comments came after Argentinian authorities seized 389 kilograms (857 pounds) of cocaine, and made several arrests including a police officer and a Russian diplomatic official.
