Russia: Cherchesov expects intense UEFA NL game against Turkey

Russia's head coach Stanislav Cherchesov says he expects an «intense game» against Turkey while speaking to journalists in Sochi on Saturday, a day ahead their UEFA Nations League clash. Cherchesov said that Turkish players are “fast and technical,” adding “we know how Mircea Lucescu prepares the team, as well as the style they play.” He went on to say that both teams will “demonstrate their... Еще strengths.” “We will not see anything extraordinary,” Cherchesov concluded. UEFA’s new tournament sees 55 European nations split into four leagues from A to D according to their UEFA ranking at the end of the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers. Within those four leagues, teams are again split into groups of three or four. Turkey and Russia join Sweden in League B, Group 2. The winner will be promoted to League A while the bottom team will be relegated to League C.
