Russia: Baby rescued from Magnitogorsk remains in Moscow hospital

Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova visited Ivan Fokin, the baby rescued from under the rubble of the Magnitogorsk residential building collapse, in a hospital in Moscow on Wednesday. The 10-month old infant spent about 36 hours in freezing conditions. Fokin was then delivered to the local hospital in serious condition with multiple injuries and hypothermia. The same day the infant was... Еще transported by plane from Magnitogorsk to Moscow's Research Institute for Children's Emergency Surgery and Traumatology. His mother Olga Fokina travelled with him. On Wednesday, Skvortsova stated that the baby does not face life threatening risks anymore. At about 06:00 local time (01:00 GMT) on Monday, an entire section of a 10-storey tower block in Magnitogorsk collapsed, causing dozens to be trapped under debris in subzero conditions.
