Russia: 600 footballers participate in 24hr football match in Kaliningrad

The match was between Baltika and Kaliningrad 2018 and the final score was 76:64 to Kaliningrad 2018. Local authorities wanted to mark the International Football Day which is celebrated annually on December 10th and the upcoming World Cup 2018. “In the run-up to the World Cup and the upcoming International football day we want to make such a celebration,” Kaliningrad Region Governor Anton Alikhanov said, adding “Here in the oldest football stadium in continental Europe.” The World Cup is scheduled to take place in 11 Russian cities from June 14 until July 15.
