Nineteen passengers died and many others were injured on Sunday, when a bus crashed off a bridge and into a river near the twon of Sretensk in Russia's Far East.
According to the Russian Interior Affairs Ministry, the bus — carrying 43 passengers — careered off from the carriageway due to a front wheel failure and fell into the Kuenga River.
The press office of the governor of the nearby Baikal... Еще region said helicopters from the Centre of Medical Evacuation and Emergency Medical Care were sent to the location.
Authorities opened a criminal case into the provision of services that were non-compliant for the safety requirements.
