Romania: NATO chief cautions Russia ‘we don’t want a new Cold War’

Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the 29-member NATO military alliance does not want a «new Cold War» with Russia, in an address to the 63rd annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Bucharest on Monday. «Russia is our neighbour, Russia is here to stay, we don’t want to isolate Russia, NATO doesn’t want a new Cold War, our actions are designed to prevent, not provoke... Еще, conflict,» said Stoltenberg at the event. Stoltenberg also expressed concern for Russia's military build-up on NATO borders and its perceived lack of transparency over military exercises such as Zapad 2017.
