Footage shot Monday captured a rare cotton-top tamarin bearing an uncanny resemblance to the late German theoretical physicist Albert Einstein playing at the Roev Ruchei Zoo in Krasnoyarsk. The zoo welcomed the monkey on October 26.
With his fluffy tuft of white hear and wise eyes, the 3.5 year old primate was unsurprisingly named Einstein.
However, the likeness of this breed of monkey seems to... Еще be lost in Germany where cotton-top tamarins are called ‘Liszt Monkeys’ after the Hungarian composer.
With around 6,000 cotton-top tamarins left worldwide, the species is critically endangered. The zoo is currently looking for a mate for Einstein with the aim of breeding the pair.
