Dairy farmers of Diveyevo village in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast held a festival, Saturday, celebrating the third anniversary of the ban on foreign cheese imports to Russia. Around 70 farmers presented their produce to scores of visitors. «We didn't expect the support that our people have showed us,» says one of the farmers, «now I'm certain we are going to make it! Not only are we not scared of... Еще sanctions, in ten years from now we might start exporting our cheeses to Europe and win the European market.» Visitors were also presented to a new kind of cheese named after Russian President Vladimir Putin. «I'm not sure if Vladimir Vladimirovich knows that this cheese exists,» admitted another farmer. However, he expressed his hope that someday, the president would pay a visit.
