Puerto Rico: Roofs lifted off houses as Hurricane Maria batters US territory

Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico on Wednesday, in what has been described as the strongest storm to strike the US territory in almost 90 years. Strong winds lambasted buildings, ripping roofs off houses and pulling down trees in the island's capital of San Juan on Wednesday. The tropical storm has claimed at least nine people's lives in its journey across the Caribbean.
