Poland: Women march as abortion law protests hit 50 cities

Hundreds hit the streets of Warsaw on Wednesday marching against the Polish government's attempts to increase the country’s abortion restrictions. During the protest some demonstrators threw red paint at the ruling Law and Justice Party's headquarters in the capital. Abortions are only allowed in Poland in cases of rape, incest or if the life of the fetus or the health of the mother is threatened. The protest, which was organised by a coalition of women's rights groups named National Women's Strike, was held across 50 cities in Poland.
