Poland: PM Morawiecki casts ballot in presidential election at Warsaw polling station

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki submitted his vote in the country's presidential election in Warsaw on Sunday, which pits incumbent Andrzej Duda against current Warsaw mayor Rafal Trzaskowski. According to the most recent exit polls, Duda holds a marginal lead with 50.8 per cent of the vote. Trzaskowski, running as candidate for the Civic Platform party, has called Poland's democratic institutions 'under attack' by the present government. If the exit poll results stand, it will be the closest election since the end of the country's communist rule in 1989.
