Armoured vehicles from the Norwegian Army's Telemark Battalion (TMBN) arrived at the Polish port of Szczecin on Wednesday, to take part in NATO's Exercise Noble Jump 2019.
Footage released by NATO shows Leopard 2 Main Battle Tanks, CV90 Infantry Fighting Vehicles, and Armoured Personnel Carriers from the M113 family rolling off a transport ship ahead of being deployed for the Alliance's military... Еще drills which will involve around 2,500 troops from Germany, the Netherlands and Norway, alongside 1,000 vehicles.
The drills, whose first phase was launched on May 24, are set to improve and test the readiness and mobility of a critical element of the NATO Response Force (NRF).
According to US Admiral James Foggo, commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples and NATO Response Force 2019, «Noble Jump is a defensive exercise.» He added: «It will prove our very high readiness ground troops are ready and rapidly deployable, wherever and whenever needed. Readiness and mobility are key to NATO’s deterrence posture.»
The second phase of NATO's Exercise Noble Jump 2019 is being held in Poland from June 1 to 14.
