Polish paratroopers were deployed to the Szymany airfield in Northern Poland as part of the Polish Dragon 2017 defence exercise, on Wednesday. The exercise included storming stronghold of a perceived enemy, which paratroopers, brought by C-130 Hercules airplanes, managed to successfully achieve. Еще supported by units from the territorial defence force, however, para drops were cancelled due to weather conditions. Around 3,500 vehicles including tanks, fighter jets and helicopters have been deployed as part of the drills, which are being held over 10 days across different Polish regions. Poland's NATO allies from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, and, Georgia, are all taking part.
