Poland: Limited delegation commemorates Smolensk air disaster anniversary amid coronavirus lockdown

A small government delegation including Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Law and Justice party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski, the twin brother of the late President Lech Kaczynski, commemorated the 10th anniversary of the Smolensk air disaster on Friday in Warsaw. The commemoration was held in a reduced format and Pilsudski Square was almost completely deserted due to current restrictions aimed at reducing the spread of the coronavirus.
