Poland's National Election Commission announced partial and unofficial results of the presidential election at a news conference in Warsaw on Monday.
Incumbent President Andrzej Duda has been already named as the winner who achieved a small majority over his opponent, Warsaw's mayor Rafal Trzaskowski.
«Partial, unofficial results of elections regarding the number of votes cast for individual candidates were: Mr. Andrzej Sebastian Duda 10,413,094 votes. This is 51,21 percent,» confirmed chairman of the National Electoral Commission Sylwester Marciniak.
«It is worth emphasizing that the voter turnout, according to the data we received, reports of local commissions which have been entered into the electronic system, is 68,12 percent,» said Marciniak.
This year's turnout was 13 percent higher than during the second round of Poland's presidential election in 2015.
