Survivors, family members, and political leaders including the Polish president, Andrzej Duda, gathered at the site of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp to commemorate the 75th anniversary of its liberation by the Soviet Red Army on Monday.
Footage shows survivors of the camp carrying and laying wreaths, with even some of the victims wearing the famous stripped outfits that used... Еще to be given to the prisoners at the time, as they paid tribute to the lives lost during International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Auschwitz-Birkenau was a Nazi German concentration camp where at least 1.1 million people, mostly Jews, were during World War II.
