Football enthusiasts in Pergamino, located in the Buenos Aires Province, came up with a new concept of the game as Argentina, like many countries worldwide, was facing COVID-related restrictions.
Gustavo Ciuffo, the man behind the project, divided the pitch into several areas allowing each player to move only within his own limited zone.
«We chose to divide the pitch as you could see, adding some rules to it. This is how this kind of 'human table football' was born, and it has gone viral in an inconceivable way,» said Cuiffo, on Saturday.
After almost 100 days of the coronavirus closure, the 'Play Football' stadium welcomed this creative idea setting up safety protocols for a five-a-side games.
«It's been a long time since we don't play football,» footballer Alex Hadad said, «I have no words because being able to enjoy sports and moreover with friends and being taken care of, it's truly great.»
