Peru: Tear gas deployed amid protests against Fujimori's pardon

Police deployed tear gas as clashes broke out between police and demonstrators in Lima on Monday, after the decision to pardon former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori from corruption charges was announced on Christmas Eve. Fujimori was pardoned by sitting President Pablo Pedro Kuczynski on Sunday after the ex-leader was admitted to hospital the previous day. The 79-years-old former...
