Peru: Restaurants reopen in Lima as coronavirus restrictions are eased

Residents were seen dining out in a restaurant after COVID-19 restrictions were eased in Lima on Monday. Peru announced the easing of measures which allowed for the reopening of restaurants with a capacity of 40%, in addition to applying hygiene measures such as hand washing and mandatory mask wearing inside the premises. «We are re-learning the current modality of how to eat, how to move around, how to navigate, and well, so far it is comfortable, of course, it is an experience that will definitely mark us for life,» said Jose Alfonso Huaman Espinoza, who was dining the seafood restaurant Berypez. The restaurant, located in the Jesus Maria district of the Peruvian capital, received customers at 30% of its usual capacity with tables being set on the second floor and takeaway orders being prepared on the first.
