Princess Mako kicked off her South American tour in the Peruvian capital city of Lima on Wednesday.
Princess Mako is the eldest daughter of Prince Fumihito, the younger brother of Emperor Naruhito.
The 27-year-old member of the Japanese imperial family visited the Nikkei La Union school, where students greeted her by performing traditional Japanese dances. She then planted a tree at a ceremony... Еще attended by embassy officials and members of the Japanese community in Lima.
Mako is currently in Peru to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Japanese immigrants first arrival in the South American country.
