Peru: Jailed Fujimori rushed to hospital due to ‘life-threatening’ illness

Former President of Peru Alberto Fujimori was taken from his jail cell to hospital in Lima after suffering from a sudden drop in blood pressure on Saturday. Doctors say the illness is potentially life threatening and it comes after the 79-year-old was hospitalised twice this year due to an abnormal heart rhythm. Fujimori, who was president of the South American state from 1990 to 2000, is... Еще serving a 25-year sentence for human rights abuses which he was convicted for in 2009. He is currently being treated at the Japanese-Peruvian centenary clinic in the capital.
