A Bahraini businessman has completed a promise he made to a poverty-stricken boy in the Peruvian city of Moche in Trujillo Province, on Sunday.
The boy Victor Martin Angulo Cordova, 11, caught the attention of Yaqoob Yusuf Ahmed Mubarak after images emerged online of him doing homework under a street lamp because he did not have electricity at home.
The entrepreneur then travelled to meet Victor... Еще and offered to build a house for him and his family. Mubarak also pledged to donate equipment for a new computer class at the boy's school and helped his mother set up a business.
Mubarak's charity has since extended beyond Victor and into the local community, with the Bahraini businessman also donating an electric wheelchair to a disabled boy.
In a sign of gratitude for his efforts, Moche Mayor Arturo Fernandez presented the Bahraini philanthropist the honourary key to the city.
