Peru: Archaeologists discover 24 burials from Inca period in Tucume

Archaeologists found 24 human remains from the Inca period at the Tucume Archaeological Site, in the Lambayeque region, announced the Peruvian Ministry of Culture on Wednesday. According to local media, the burials are more than 500 years old, and add to nine other pieces found in 2017. «To date we have 24 burials, some of them are associated to pots that are exposed behind you, some of them... Еще with spondyles. Remember that the spondylus was an important element for them, more important than gold,» explained Tucume project director Jose Manuel Escudero.
