Peruvian animal rights activists carried out a march through the capital of Lima on Sunday, which finished up at the Plaza de Acho where a bullfight was taking place.
Protesters can be seen carrying placards decrying the sport of bullfighting, banging drums, and shouting slogans together. Outside the bullfighting arena, a fight broke out between a supporter of bullfighting and some of the... Еще protesters. Police were present during the march and at the arena to maintain order.
Peru, which is one of the few countries where bullfighting is still legal, is waiting for the Constitutional Court ruling of a lawsuit presented by the ALCO group (Animals Free from Cruelty and Oppression) in December last year, that could potentially put an end to the activity.
