Papua New Guinea: Earthquake jolts Port Moresby; no casualties reported

A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Papua New Guinea on Friday, shaking Port Moresby. There were no immediate reports of casualties. People were seen exiting a shopping centre in the capital following the earthquake. The epicentre was close to Morobe Patrol Post in Morobe province, whose wharf reportedly sustained major cracking, while damage was also reported in several nearby settlements.
