Tens of Israeli soldiers entered downtown Hebron city in the southern West Bank on Thursday arresting youths and firing flashbang stun grenades. Soldiers chased young men through the streets and forcibly pushed press cameraman away. Footage shows soldiers escorting the men — some blindfolded and handcuffed — away from the scene. One soldier attempts to cover a TV camera as they escort... Еще another detained man. The violent scenes came less than 24-hours after Trump recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in a live televised address from Washington D.C. and started the process of moving the US embassy from Tel Aviv. The decision caused an immediate outrage and fury from Palestinians with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh calling for a new intifada (holy war) against Israel to start on Friday. Israel has always claimed Jerusalem as its capital while Palestinians demand that annexed East Jerusalem becomes the capital of a future Palestinian state.
