Devotees celebrated Sikh founder Guru Nanak's 550th birth anniversary in Nankana Sahib on Tuesday.
A large numbers of pilgrims gathered in the birthplace of Guru Nanak, following the opening of the Kartarpur corridor, which took place a few days ago. The corridor allows Sikh devotees from India to reach the holy shrine in Pakistan without a visa.
Attendees welcomed the measure, with one of them... Еще saying that «borders must be opened, more corridors are needed. People from the Punjab must be allowed to go to the other side and from the other side people be allowed to visit here. This will help increase interaction and brotherhood.»
Guru Nanak was born in 1469, in what is now a predominantly Muslim city.
