Norway: Rescue teams spot Russian helicopter wreckage

A squad of 40 Russian EMERCOM officers including 17 divers landed at the archipelago of Svalbard, some 650 miles (1,000km) from the North Pole, to continue a rescue operation for the missing Mil Mi-8 helicopter, Sunday. The Russian EMERCOM team is equipped with underwater vehicles, compressors, motor boats and diving apparatuses. Norwegian rescue officers deployed two helicopters, a rescue... On Thursday the helicopter, which was carrying eight Russian citizens en route to Barentsburg from the Russian settlement of Pyramiden, disappeared from radar screens in the afternoon.
