North Macedonia: Skopje goes to polls with new name on voters' agenda

Voters in the North Macedonian capital of Skopje were among those going to the polls to have their say in the presidential elections on Sunday. There are three presidential candidates: Stevo Pendarovski, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova and Blerim Reka. According to pre-voting polls, Pendarovski is in the lead. However, unless he reaches the 50 per cent threshold, he will have to contest a second... Еще round of voting. The current president is Gjeorge Ivanov, who opposed the deal with Greece which changed the name of the country from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the Republic of Northern Macedonia. The deal with Greece has been a point of controversy, with both Pendarovski and Reka in favour of it while Davkova has been more critical.
